Speed Survey Results

Gloucestershire County Council Highways Department conducted a speed survey for seven days at two locations in June of 2025. The first location was at the bus shelter in Whiteway Colony. The second location was at the northern entrance to the village of The Camp, near Camp Farm.

The Parish Council has since been discussing the findings. Whilst a low level of speeding was recorded during the 7-day period in Whiteway, a disturbingly high number of speeders were recorded through The Camp.

Miserden Parish Council will be hosting a community consultation regarding what speed and road safety items should be purchased by the Council and what additional funding will be needed to implement the decisions.
The Council endeavour to be completely transparent with spending taxpayer funds and will detail the decisions and spending plans with the community as we go along.
If you have any concerns at this early stage, please get in touch with the MPC Chair, Cllr Kevin Allin, or the Vice Chair, Cllr Laura Cobb who are always available to listen to your concerns and ideas, and will act when needed.

Details of the Community Consultation will be advertised around the parish and on social media and WhatsApp groups once a date has been set.
